CertifyIQ is operated by Lumeon Technologies, LLC. This policy covers our website and our Electrician, Plumbing, and HVAC EPA 608 study apps. The app collection described below reflects version 5.5.0.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: your email address, account identifier, and name when provided.
  • Study activity: questions answered, test results, saved questions, progress, and study preferences.
  • Purchase information: subscription status and purchase or restoration records used to manage paid access. Apple and Google process store payments; we do not receive your payment-card details from those purchases.
  • Support and communications: feedback, support requests, and message or notification preferences.
  • Usage and technical information: app interactions, installation and device identifiers, app and device details, IP addresses, approximate location derived from IP addresses, crash logs, and diagnostics.

Analytics and diagnostic information can include your account identifier or email address. In-app session recording is disabled in version 5.5.0.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide your account, save study progress, and personalize study features.
  • Provide paid access and restore purchases.
  • Send study reminders, service messages, and marketing communications, and respond to support requests.
  • Understand how features are used, improve content, and investigate errors.
  • Measure advertising results and personalize marketing for CertifyIQ.

3. Service Providers and Advertising

We use the following services to operate our apps:

  • Supabase: account authentication and storage of account and study data.
  • Amplitude and Google Firebase/Analytics: usage analytics and measurement.
  • Sentry: crash reporting and error diagnostics.
  • RevenueCat: subscription and purchase management.
  • OneSignal: email, push notifications, and communication preferences.

Depending on the service and purpose, these providers receive account details, identifiers, study or app activity, purchase information, technical information, or support content. We use activity-based audience groups to make our messages more relevant.

Our Google Analytics configuration is linked to Google Ads, with advertising personalization enabled. Depending on the platform, available identifiers, and applicable settings, account and device identifiers, app interactions, purchase information, and approximate location may be used for advertising measurement and personalized marketing.

4. Website Cookies and Measurement

Our website uses Google Analytics and the Reddit advertising pixel to measure visits and app-download actions. Cookies and similar technologies can provide these services with browser, device, IP address, and activity information. Our website also loads a Facebook tracking library; Facebook conversion events are not currently configured. Advertising click identifiers and campaign parameters may be passed to app-store links to help measure marketing results.

Browser settings and blocking tools can limit website cookies and requests. These controls do not turn off analytics inside our mobile apps. Device and Google account settings may offer additional advertising controls.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Retention and Account Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including necessary financial recordkeeping and legal obligations. Retention varies by data type and service; account deletion does not mean every provider record or backup is erased immediately.

You can delete your account in the app under Account, then Support, or request deletion by emailing [email protected]. Email from the address on your account and include the CertifyIQ app name. If you cannot access that address, contact us for help verifying ownership. Never send your password.

Deleting your account removes your shared CertifyIQ account and study history across all trades. Cleanup with connected services is handled separately and may remain pending after account removal. Necessary financial records may be retained. Apple and Google manage their own purchase records under their policies. See our account-deletion instructions for details.

Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel through your store settings to stop future charges. Updating the app or retiring a service does not by itself erase information previously collected by that service. Cleanup of historical information held by retired providers may remain pending while we obtain their deletion and retention confirmations.

7. Your Choices and Requests

Contact [email protected] to request access to or correction of your personal information, account deletion, or help with information held by our providers. We may need to verify your identity. Your rights and any applicable exceptions depend on where you live.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link and manage push-notification permissions in your device settings. These choices do not delete your account or cancel your subscription.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy and updating the "Last updated" date.
